Rick Mayer joins Lutgert Insurance

Rick Mayer, CLU, ChFC joins Lutgert Insurance as life insurance specialist

Lutgert Insurance President Bud Hornbeck announced the Naples-based agency has added Rick Mayher, CLU, ChFC as Business and Estate Life Insurance Specialist.

Mayher will serve the financial and estate planning needs of affluent individuals, their respective families and businesses. He will work directly with insurance producers, CPA's, attorneys and trust officers to create the best plan of action for their most complex cases.

"Life insurance and trust planning can often become a complex issue for affluent individuals," said Hornbeck.

"Many times, resolving the issue can involve trust officers, wealth managers, CPA's, attorneys and others who represent the client's various interests. Rick Mayher has the experience and the knowledge to work with these individuals to devise solutions that will meet the client's immediate, intermediate and long-term needs. Lutgert Insurance is very pleased to have an individual with his background and talent on board."

Mayher's key areas of specialization include estate planning, wealth transfer techniques and business uses of life insurance for funding agreements and executive compensation. He is also an expert in lump-sum distributions, including the sale of businesses and real estate (1031 transfers), retirement plan distributions and inheritances.

Mayher and his family moved to Naples from Cincinnati in the summer of 2006. He has nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Lutgert Insurance, Mayher served as a top manager and producer for highly respected insurance carriers, including Jefferson Pilot/Lincoln National and New York Life. He has been a recipient of awards from the General Agents and Manager's Association and the Million Dollar Round Table.

Mayher is a graduate of Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania where he earned a BA in British Literature. He is also a graduate of the American College where he earned the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant. Mayher is a member and past board trustee of the Cincinnati Chapter of The Society of FSP (Financial Service Professionals), Past President of Tri-County Center, an active trustee for The Wellness Community and a member of the Planned Giving Steering Committee for Liberty Bible Academy in Mason, Ohio. He and his wife Debby have one son, Robert, who is in the second grade.
