Timeless Tapestries

A bare wall may not need another framed art piece, according to new gallery owner Shelby Ward.

Her new art trade, after more than 25 years directing fine art galleries in California and Southwest Florida? Timeless Tapestries.

The new tapestry gallery is a first in Florida, although they are common in California, New York, Atlanta and abroad.

Timeless Tapestries opened its doors in Bonita Springs April 19.

If people are interested in purchasing a tapestry for a specific wall in their home, they can take a digital picture of the space, measure it, or simply just describe it to Ward when they come into the gallery. She also is willing to go to people's homes to look at certain spaces that need something a little different.

Most of the tapestries come in a variety of sizes, so if interested buyers see a print they like, they can ask about the different sizes they come in.

All of Timeless Tapestries' wall hangings are lined with acid-free cotton or velvet fabric, and most have an added border, which is woven independently. Also, a hanging system is put on the tapestries' backs, in order to slide a drapery rod through it to hang.

In addition to the free rods, finials, and hanging hardware, other decorative accents such as tassels, tiebacks, and custom hardware are available.
